FN PS90 Features

The FN PS90 is a semi-automatic rifle chambered in 5.7x28mm and has a standard magazine capacity of 50 rounds.  The top-loaded magazine ensures a small overall size and allows for bottom-ejection of spent cases.  A short optics rail allows for the addition of most holographic sights and its 16” barrel allows for a high muzzle velocity.

FN PS90 Capacity

The FN PS90 is chambered in 5.7x28mm and has a very unique magazine.  With capacities of 10, 30, and 50 rounds, the PS90’s magazine is loaded from the under-side one round at a time and the rounds are rotated 90 degrees on an internal magazine ramp system, laying them perpendicular to the bore axis.
The PS90 weighs 6.3 pounds unloaded and measures 26.25 inches long.  Its light weight reduces the amount of fatigue caused by carrying heavier guns over long distances, and its short length allow it to excel in close-quarters environments.

FN PS90 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
The PS90 is a bullpup rifle with ambidextrous controls including the disc-safety and charging handles.  Its magazine is removed just as easily by left and right handed users, and its bottom-ejecting design allows for easy use by both as well.  The bullpup setup gives a rather comfortable and natural grip and the frame’s shell includes a hand-stop to prevent the user’s hand from getting near the barrel.

FN PS90 Fit & Finish

The PS90 definitely looks unique, and possibly just weird, thanks to its bullpup design and heavy use of polymers.  Though its exposed screw holes are a bit of an eyesore, the overall feel of the gun makes up for it.  The grips are comfortably placed, the plastic shell is very sturdy, its recoil is light, and its trigger is surprisingly nice for a bullpup.

FN PS90 Concealability

Concealability
The PS90 is the longer, younger brother to the original P90, and though you can’t legally turn a PS90 into a fully-automatic submachine gun, you CAN file an ATF Form 1 and, after approval, cut the barrel down to the original’s 11 inch length.  This allows the PS90 to conceal in many situations such as in vehicles and in hiking packs.
