The Glock 28 is a semi-automatic small-frame pistol chambered in .380 ACP. The G28 is the smaller version of the Glock 25, which was created specifically for South American civilians who aren’t allowed to carry military-caliber weapons. The .380 ACP isn’t much different from a 9mm except it has a shorter range and less stopping power. Yet, it is a popular round for concealed carry. The Glock 28 has standard Glock features such as a polymer grip that’s lightweight making it 1.5 pounds loaded. On the front of the grip are finger grooves and the sides have a rough texture that feels a bit like sandpaper. Its double-action trigger is also “safe-action” meaning the safety is on the trigger rather than the side. The only way a round can fire is if the shooter pulls the trigger because its internal design won’t allow the firing pin to punch forward any other way. This prevents accidental discharges if the pistol is dropped. Glocks have a simple, dependable and easy-to-use design, which is why they’re the preferred handgun for many law enforcement agencies. Glock recommends the Glock 28 for concealed carry.

Glock 28 Features

The Glock 28 is the smallest of the standard-width Glock pistols and is similar in size to the Glock 26.  It operates on a slightly modified action to the standard Glock pistols with a short-recoil operated, semi-locked action that has a more delayed opening over a locked breech.  It is available only in Gen3 production due to its relatively low sales numbers.

Glock 28 Ballistics

Glock 28 Capacity

The Glock 28 is chambered in .380 Auto and feeds from Glock-pattern double-stack .380 magazines.  The standard flush-fit magazine holds 10 rounds and can easily be modified with a +2 extension to hold a total of 12 rounds.  The Glock 28 can also accept the taller Glock 25 magazines that have a capacity of 15 rounds or 17 rounds with the addition of a +2 extension.

Glock 28 Ergonomics

Ergonomics
If you pick up a Glock 28, you’ll likely notice that it feels almost identical to the Glock 26 with its short grip, wide cross section and familiar controls.  It uses the small Gen3 magazine release that is not reversible and only has slide serrations flanking the rear sight.  The grip includes finger grooves along the front of the grip, square checkering along the back, and rough texturing on the left and right sides.

Glock 28 Fit & Finish

The Glock 28 was produced under the Gen3 pattern giving it a familiar grip with a Tennifer coated slide.  The build quality is on par with every other Glock produced and its low-recoiling ammo gives it a better durability rating over other options.

Glock 28 Concealability

Concealability
Measuring a fraction of an inch shorter than the Glock 26, the Glock 28 is the smallest and most concealable of the standard-width Glock pistols.  It can easily be tucked away into many different positions and setups, though its width does require the use of clothing that isn’t form-fitting.  The Glock 28 measures 6.5 inches long, 4.2 inches tall and 1.26 inches wide.
