Smith and Wesson 9mm automatic, model 3953. This gun has only the lightest of holster wear; appears to have been shot very little. Looks like a police trade in since several departments back a few years ago carried these as department issue. These Smith and Wesson pistols come with aluminum-alloy frames and stainless steel slides finished in a matt look. They have 3-dot Novak adjustable sights with an 8-round magazine plus 1 in the chamber. Note that the magazine has a "pinky" extension for an easy grip. The pistol is double-action only as the hammer is bobbed. The front strap and trigger guard are stippled for a more secure grip. The pistol has a 3 1/2 inch barrel and is narrow and light (for an all-metal gun). These guns were manufactured in the '90's and designed more or less for police use.
