Mike, Ruger uses the Hardwood "Cocobolo" for these Grips.
Model 0470 is listed @ Ruger site with "rose wood" grips.
ruger just lists them as "Hardwood" you can give them a call and they should be able to give you more Information Telephone: 336-949-5200
